I would recommend against Roehl Transport just because of the likelihood that they can always exercise their option of terminating your employment and collecting $7,000 from you with no recourse on your part.

PRIME INC may be a better choice because their CDL training is less costly, if I could do it all over again I would not have gone with Roehl GYCDL and instead have gone to Prime, tanker division specifically.

My neighbor went through the Roehl Program and has nothing but positive remarks about it.

Something else to think about--with Schneider's "CAT" program (mentioned above)--a driver is only obligated to stick around & drive at Schneider for the next 9 months.

CDL programs at other carriers very likely have longer time commitments.

I would agree that Roehl's training is superb, they are very thorough on everything and intensely focused on safety.

My singular concern with Roehl Transport is the bad faith contract that they issue in order to get into their GYCDL program. If you sign up you better hope that they allow you to drive the required 120,000 miles to get out of the contract and know it often takes over 2 years for them to allow you to amass that amount of mileage. Roehl is in complete control of how everything goes once you sign that contract.
