I'm looking to start CDL school in about 1 week to one month. I'm looking to only work local or as a part-time over-the-road driver. What do you think I should do in this situation? Are there really jobs available for people looking for local jobs like myself? I have a best friend who's a truck driver who thinks there are opportunities for brand new CDL holders... Before I start school, I want to make sure that there will be opportunities for me at Pepsi Budweiser or one of the Frito-Lay companies.. Can any of you give me some advice or some definite answers
I can only work local or one week on and one week off

Good luck finding part time OTR right now. Companies like Roehl and Schneider used to have those options but they have scaled those way back with this current trucking market. Its hard to find flex fleets today...I've looked to no avail.

So it's local or nothing maybe
