If you are being paid as a 1099 driver then you are not an employee, you are an independent contractor. You won't be fired. It won't be reported anywhere. Nothing will. In a few weeks your family will give up waiting for you to come home. Years from now, no one will even remember hearing your screams.

Your company has insurance so don't sweat it. I wouldn't offer to pay anything at all. You may have signed an agreement to pay the dectuctable but not likely with a 1099 company. If they want the deductible and you like your job let them take a little bit weekly till its paid.

What I am saying, when I am not being a ########, is that you have no problems. 1099 folks are not employees. You don't have to worry about the accident following you as there is no one to report it to. You might have to look for a different job but 1099 jobs are easy to find.
