Find another company with a trainer that can show you the ropes. This racket is not for everyone, most guys don't make it now a days due to the fact their expectations are to high and these outfits feed you a line of BS. Reality has a funny way of smacking you upside the head.

More to this racket than just holding a steering wheel. Unfortunately, the company you are at is pretty much the norm out here unless you are with one of the mega carriers that have staff for new guys. Most outfits throw you the keys and cut you lose, they expect you to know the job.

    The issue is the company.

    Find another company.

My experience is unlike many here, apparently.

    Good trainer? Yes

    Messy truck? No

Taught how to stay within HOS? Yes - if it looks like you’re going to run over, get a hotel, company pays.

There’s no excuse for this action on the part of the company. If they don’t care about teaching you, there is NO reason to stick around.

Find a new job, BEFORE you get into a bad situation due to lack of proper training...

...and don’t run over your HOS by two hours again...

All I can say is, you hit your 11 or 14, truck stops. Driving 2 hours over only puts you in a world of dung if you are caught...If you had any type of accident no minor how small it is it would be your fault automatically... then since you are running illegal you open the window to civil court and you would lose,, probably everything...

So what? You got through it didn't you? You didn't have a nervous breakdown or go postal or abandon your truck in the middle of the Interstate and run off did you?
Give yourself some credit, you toughed through it. A lot of guys would have given up.
Driving isn't the easiest job in the world and you're finding that out, right?
Use what you've learned and the next time these things might not bother you as much.
The things that happened to you happen to all of us.
Give yourself a chance. There are good driving jobs out there. Put in your time, learn from all this crap that's happening and move on to something better.

And the driving over hours thing? Don't do that any more. You'll wind up getting yourself in trouble with the law and it sounds like you don't really need any more stress.

Change companies. Here's one in Ohio:
JRayL Transport (hires new cdl grads)
    Terminals in Akron, Cleveland, Columbus.
Guaranteed weekly pay of up to $1500.00
    Guaranteed weekends home.
    Choose local, regional, OTR.

What are they going to do, hold you hostage? There is always someone else willing to hire good drivers. Being a good driver does not mean you have to come in to work at every beck and call whilst coming through the door backwards with your pants around your ankles. There are companies that will work you hard, and as long as you make all your appointment times they will be happy with you a d when you say I need some home time, they will give it to you since good drivers are difficult to find.
In short: you don't have to put up with that crap.

Nope you need to stand up for yourself from the gate otherwise they'll just keep using you as a door mat.
Additionally, you need to quit that company and go to one that will give you some training.
Not that I'm a Schneider cheerleader, very much the opposite actually, but at least they'll give you a couple weeks training before they cut you lose.
And if your still not comfortable they will let you keep working with a trainer till you feel ready.
They aren't going to require you to be out with a trainer for months.
If I'm not mistaken Wel Companies is the same way.
