We didn't get hosed but if the taxpayers of NYC paid to build the bridge then I think they did.

Doesn't surprise me at all and since the Willis Av Bridge is controlled by NYC DOT--and I am sure the company that got the contract to haul in was informed----BUT--they did get hosed--starting with NYC DOT in cahoots w/port Authority--therefore charging you an additional $100 to cross the GWB--not to mention 53' or not (as every traffic court judge in NYC knows--which is why if you actually fight those tix--they are thrown out)they have to allow you access off the interstate sytem to your delivery--and since the GWB is I95 and Wills Av(3d ave)Bridge has an on/off ramp connecting to I87 it is BS--
Just hope whoever got the contract got the rates to support the BS--and not some unknowing "kid" in office who just played it out........

i just read the post about to much traffic in canada---now i have to wipe the boogers and coffee off of my screen
ok so you got a bit of traffic in the gta---but for 20 hours of the day its moving at 80 mph--so no problems---and ummmmm wellllll if you work hard you might find some traffic in the other 5 million square miles

I agree drivers are too sensitive.

True enough about the other 5 million square miles...but most of the loads I took up there went to Toronto, Stittsville, Ottawa, or Montreal...and the rush hour is as bad (or worse) than any I have ever seen.

Then there is the questions at the border...I'm just not the kind of guy Canada wants for a tourist.

just cause the 401 is the busiest highway in north america--it dont mean a thing---it really isnt all that bad--my favourite spot was having to cut 5 lanes to get to dixie rd exit---thats what signals and jakes are for--you get used to it--or else you get in the collector lanes earlier---its really not that bad

Oh, come on! There isn't that much to Fayettenam. Hell, I haven't been there since my ETS date from active duty, and I could still find my way around there.

I hate the stretch between Toronto and Kitchener.

Y'all can keep NYC.....I prefer running the Rockies in blowing snow....Maximum Chains any day of the week.....

I hate tolls....One reason why I hate the San Fran Bay area....Ridicules.....I was charged $20 to cross over a bridge that was less than 1/4 mile long.....
