Man, Florida is tough. They suspend your license for vehicle insurance lapse....dayyyuumm. I hope that you can find what you want, I agree with the others a diesel technician and O/O...sounds good to me! Good luck on whatever path (company you choose). I've not been on here very long and I can say that there seems to be some very very good people on here. I just hope that one day I get the chance to meet some of these ladies and gents!

I'd try Florida Beauty Express first and Carolina Cargo second.
This recommendation is based on weekly pay only. You'll work 10 times as hard at Florida Beauty Express, but make over twice as much weekly.

Did you call Keim in Jasper ,Tenn.? License suspension for lapse of insurance sounds like total bureaucratic BS. Sticking with the job you have doesn't sound like bad advice either....there's high demand for good mechanics.

There's also a high demand to halfway do stuff or rig it to get by another month an ill pay you then crowd. Wrench bending and the public gets old it's good to be able to slip away and truck a couple days to regroup

Just an FYI to those questioning the law in FL. While I don't actually agree with the law, I do in fact understand it's intent. You see, being originally from south FL, I am intimately familiar with the transient (and non-American born) nature of this state's population. Unfortunately, especially back in the late 80's-mid 90's, there was a huge problem with uninsured motorists getting into/causing accidents, and those of us who actually do the right thing and make sure we're covered were getting screwed royally, both if in an accident and having to pay ourselves (or risk our insurance going up) and by the overall rate for all law-abiding citizens climbing. The law was meant to curb those illegal drivers.
That being said, just the other day I had to surrender the tag to an old pickup of mine that needs a new tranny and some minor engine work, since I don't have the time or money to get it up and running right now. Even though I let the registration lapse on it, I still had to keep paying insurance until I surrendered the tag or I would have had MY DL suspended. Sucks, but don't a good majority of laws?
