I don't know what to do anymore.

It's not that they suspend it for no insurance it's that once your insurance lapses the eventually void your registration which then gets your license suspended mine was actually suspended for 2 years before I found stupid money order got buried on some ladies desk and it never got posted that was a huge run around eventually got it squared away bit it was a head ache

 

Then suspend the registration...NOT the DL. If you want to go after DL's, then make everybody with a DL pay for liability coverage for their DL. You'd no longer insure vehicles for anything other than comprehensive and collision if you choose to do so. Heck, you can't drive more than 1 vehicle at a time anyway, so why have to pay extra for every vehicle you have parked in the driveway? This way, if you borrow somebody's car, you don't have to worry about the status of their insurance and whether or not you are covered. Make EVERYBODY with a license, whether they have a car or not, buy liability insurance that covers them in whatever they happen to be driving...then you can suspend a license for no insurance.
