LTB I to have a disability since be injured in Iraq , They wanted a doctors release , had to do some tests to show I could still do the job and I have to renew my physical every year . Don't be shocked if the DOT physical doctor might not pass ya. What I wa going to ask though is if your traveling say in Kentucky i'm sure they have some pretty harry roads like some in west virgina you have to downshift or blow a steer tire at 70 mph with a 45000lbs load on it will take both hands or in your case both feet just to hold the wheel then what . I'm like the others I don't want you to think we are bashing you for wanting to try or bashing period most of us are just trying to picture it I guess never heard of it.But if it is your dream follow it or why not try hot shot you can use your pickup and a trailer go cross country what have ya just an idea anyway if all else don't work out.

Depends who you drive dump for, alot of local tri-axle dump places require drivers to grease their trucks and adjust their own brakes because you take the truck home with you, thats your responsibility. I know for a fact without a slider tarp you couldnt haul blacktop, you would have to climb up on the side of the bed and bungee the sides of the tarp down, and spray in the soap while standing on the side of the bed. You could on the other hand look to haul, coal, dirt, millings, stone etc. Be ready for atleast a 14 hour day too.

OK how are you going to put chains on a truck at -10 in 2 feet off snow. Your feet will freeze off. How are you going to close the doors on the trailer? In a 30 mph wind? At -20? Sorry but trucking is a job that requires hands on. You have a good attitude but you need to face the facts. this isn't going to happen.
