Swift trucks run like elephants, um, "get it on"... Slow and sloppy...

There are trucking companies that want their drivers to have a high school diploma or equivalent of.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

Insurance comes into play too... And even if the fuel prices are down, there is still a savings on fuel economy, just not as much.

    As to slower trucks,
    are you passing any?
    If not, then no... LOL

I've seen the right side of Swift trucks before. Now, with the number of axles and weight I had on me, I wasn't gonna feel sheepish. I don't see the right side of them when I'm only running five to eight axles, though.

OP: be grateful because they used to be governed at 55.

I drove for them (briefly) when they ran 60. When they got bumped up to 65, that was big news... I was in Iraq (and not even in any kind of transportation unit) and I heard about it.

I don't see the reason to speed. I've always driven the limit or 5 mph below in all my vehicles/motorcycles. Squeaky clean record. Why risk the points/license/life/equipment just to get there a little sooner and with less fuel?
