He already said he served the country for 10 years during that period.. This isn't specific to you, but sometimes we"re so quick to bash people on this forum… We seem to always think the worst of people.. sometimes people aren't lying, and there really ISN'T anything more to the story..

I dunno- seems like its become a very cynical place

Oh the emotional wedge is driving in. Where's my popcorn?

We're close to the part where people question the story and the ad hominem happy hour starts.

Dramatic meta sarcasm of the whole trolling dynamic.

Read a headline about someone who spent 35k and 4 years catching a troll. Is it good eating?

Shoulda been with "Swift" when they were governed down to 55mph. I got to see the right side of every darned truck on the road back then.

Yes this is a very cynical place, as there are a lot of people who leave very important parts out.

A Prime driver told me on the CB he was set at 56. I asked because I saw a car nearly run into him in Cincinnati. I called the 800 number on the back of the trailer and complained to their safety department how unsafe going 9 under the speed limit is. And headed for a stretch where he'd be doing 14 under. How people drive across the country that slow is beyond me.

This used to bother me a lot too but I have learned to live with it. You just have to let go, and not get antsy when someone passes you...it's not some big race.

Where do you do most of your driving? Here in Oregon and California, where I tend to stay, the truck speed limits are 55, so I wouldn't want to go over 62 anyways.

Also, now with winter coming...I know sometimes the roads won't even give me the opportunity to go 62...so not a problem there.

It was funny, the first truck Swift gave me must have had some kind of fault with the governor as it would let me go however fast I wanted. I had it for about a month before my manager called me and told me that I need to get a new truck, he did not say why but by now I have put 2 and 2 together.
