True fog lights are amber, orange or yellowed to cut the fog. Road lamps are white. As someone who runs LED road lamps all the time at night, in addition to regular headlights, they do serve a purpose when aimed properly, they can fill in the gap between headlights and the front of the vehicle, the right side should be angled out slightly to catch low level things. I keep mine aimed so they both are aimed slightly outboard. 90% of the time, I never get flashed by another driver, but if I do, then I'll turn them off. I do realize that some people's eyes are more sensitive to the light of LED, hence why so many elderly complain about HID and LED headlights. As for the LED bulbs in non-projector housings. Yep, I have them too, company installed them in most of the trucks. Do they work, yep, am I constantly playing with the adjustment to stop from blinding people, yep. Every few days I find I adjust my headlights down a notch or two. In the last three weeks, I've not heard a complaint on the CB about them, and given the amount of time I spend on 2 lanes, I used to hear a lot of complaints, so I'm guessing I've got them about right.

Worked with a guy who would drive with headlights and foglights on all the time. Day, night, didn't matter. He said it was safer to do that.
Same guy got busted on the Indiana Toll road for doing 87 in a 60. Safety First!

In the brush and the crack of dawn on back roads we'd run a ditch (spot) light for timber tigers. Those Elk are hard on radiators.

Heck most can't even adjust their own headlights. Probably complain the lights are no good, when actually they are aimed up in the trees. Wonder if walking with a flashlight they aim it up in the air then stumble and fall, then cuss out that stupid flashlight?
