It is OK, if it still moves now. Not a good thing to do, but learn from your mistakes.
-
My will auto shut off when I break 29 MPH. But there is a light flashing though...
-
hi there! think what you did was bump the switch before you went in sleeper you would of noticed the truck feels & runs differnt with them locked in expecially going threw the gears & seeing youve been driving a rig as long as you state.
-
nah, i lock it in when i p/u the load to got out of the parking lot...with all they idit lights in this vovlo going off/on i just didnt see it was lock in...u really can't just bump it and lock it in. you have to push in then down....i've heard of guy blowing up the rear end with in a few hundred mile but i think i'm lucky i've gone other 300 mile and it seem ok, and don't see anything leaking and sounds ok. so i should be good

Most of the new trucks it kicks off at a certain speed, the switch will still be on, but it isn't actually in effect.
Wiseguywireless Thanks this. -
oh, cool maybe that why i didn't blow the rear end
-
Might be a good idea to get the rearend oil checked. You probly put alot of heat in there; maybe enough to break the oil down.
-
It's probably ok to do if you are an ice road trucker.

Has your 'power divider' been locked too long as well?
Seems some damage has been done.
