    NOT! :biggrin_25523:

I passed with only one issue...When he asked for an air down, as I was putting it in gear to simulate chocking the wheels, he said to not put it in gear which threw me off and I didn't release the spring brakes...As I was pumping them down "I" realized they weren't going to pop out, told him how I've been told so many times to keep the brakes on when not in gear that it threw my rhythm off...He was cool about it and let me start over after putting it in gear...Other than that, nailed all the driving and the "A" part of the pre-trip, which was my weak area as I consider myself mechanically challenged, but in the end, I PASSED!...W/S, here I come!!!

    well first, congrats.

secondly, the DMV test sites i deal with, if you DO NOT put the transmission into the lowest forward gear (and engine off, wheels MUST BE CHOCKED), you fail instantly....!!!

but hell man.......you passed.....it's all behind you now..........:biggrin_25522:

I guess he couldn't find fault with my logic of having the brakes on when not in gear...I was putting it in gear and he stopped me, which just threw me off as it was so routine at that point...

Congrats man! I would reconsider going out this winter with no trainer. You will make money a lot faster having has a trainer than not. Just a thought from an experienced driver.

I'm really torn between that...I believe what you're saying but then there's the chance of getting someone I can't be in a confined space with, someone that wants to treat me like crap and with some companies that could be for months...My thoughts on the no trainer method is I've made some really good friends on here, many running with W/S and am not too proud to call and get advise before running off into something I'm not sure of...It makes me think back to when I flew into the clouds for the first time knowing I wasn't going to see clear skies again until I was within a few hundred feet of the ground on landing and the winds were going to just below gale force...I just need to be a little more cautious until I build experience, don't try to be a hero and call people when I have questions...At least here I can pull over when the pucker factor gets to be overwhelming, when flying, I didn't have that luxury....I'm pretty confident in my ability to know when it's more than I can handle and need help...

Is there a place where I can check % of accidents for each company, I'd like to see where W/S ranks in regard to others being they don't have a trainer program...If it's inline with others, I'll do my best not to change that, if it's way out of line to the bad, I'll seriously reconsider as I have other companies lined up if I don't like the way this one shapes up...
