could you at least throw in a sample CD. You're doin' a fine job and I wouldn't worry about it so much.
I feel like giving up on drivers :(

Logs,
That you take the time and effort to train properly is a big plus in my book.
And I'm betting it's no small plus in the mind of that driver who returned and apologized to you, too.
Thanks for doing the right thing.
God bless and be safe,
Cub -
Thanks again -
some times you just get the unteachable. it makes it hard on you. my dh is a trainer, and he hates it when he gets a know it all, you just can't teach them.
He was telling me today, one guy just didn't want to back up. now you al lknow he has to learn to back that rig. -
I guess my biggest problem is this: Lately it seems I get more drivers not caring about running "legal" and wanting to do what their bodies tell them.
This makes my job much harder because I am fighting to get them to understand why they should run "legal".
Ok I am done crying in my beer. No I am not "really" crying, but just to many years of trying guess sometimes we all feel like giving up here and there, right

logs on cd is a good idea. Safety institutions like JJ. Keller might be interested in something like that. Big companies might be interested. If the wisecrack drivers want to do what their bodies want, which is disgusting as it is.... strap 'em down in your logbook chamber and let 'em have it ! put the logbook movie on full blast and make 'em use their calculator with their teeth . Sleep on that and call me in the morning.

Yeah their log training videos I did not care for, I know I can do a better job.
I had many drivers tell me I put split breaking very simple and explain the 11 &14 very well for them to understand. No they wasn't kissing my butt either.
I also had a few say they was still confused, just as I was at first. One day they will wake up and realize what I was saying (wait they will change it by then.
Ok signing off to bed so I can deal with logs tomorrow, -
Guess I have it easy - I don't use log books. I rarely - actually at this point - never go beyond 100 nautical miles, therefore, dun't need it. Have a trip sheet with all the info on it - yes - including keeping track of my miles and time I stopped and time I left - very easy. Never much cared for log books, but then again, never found it terribly difficult.
-
Local is easy but can get you in trouble to , but yeah pretty simple -
sleep tight and think of me because I'm doing my logs right now, in a few minutes. And I'm good at it so that should make you feel better. Keep smiling and you have my number should something come up. I'm only askin' for a small cut of the loot when the publisher calls. But I'll be happy with a smile just as well. !!
