Me either! Just started looking into it a little more because I saw their tires were still killing people after the 90's incident. Yet, they're allowed to continue doing business here.

I don't think the truck tires had anything to do with that.

You might be right but the company itself routinely proves to be non-trustworthy to me. With a proven repeated track record of failures and attempts to hide said failures that's all I need to avoid paying them to do it. With so many choices out there it's easy enough to avoid them or the potential to find out the hard way that the commercial tires do in fact have issues.

I wasn't beefing with any particular tire brand. I was merely being tongue-in-cheek referencing how quickly the expenses add up, even when you're just sitting. I know I paid a lot for my steers, but it's just your life. I value mine more...and your wife and kids driving alongside me.

I knew the expenses going in, having done this before. I had shelved it in my memory, but it came to the forefront while sitting around with nothing better to do than add up the expenses and stare at the red numbers.

If I had any complaint at all, it would be with the government workers using any excuse to not actually work while still collecting their paychecks. This process should never have taken 3 months, especially with today's technology.

Comparatively, $1500 for tires and I was back on the road the same day. $2k to AZ for IFTA, and it took them several weeks. More money, less service. Same story with the feds.

I just had a new tire put on a trailer... Michelin 445/50R22.5 cost $954 plus labor.

Our Bridgestones 284's are running about $700 out the door for two.

Michelin garbage I have no idea.

Goodyear garbage a few years ago were about the same price.

The trucks that came with Michelin junk wore out in less than a year. Goodyear junk rode like junk and suffered a non deflation hazard that gave me a good reason to junk them after about 6 months.

Was that roadside emergency tire change? Holy crap that's a lot for a trailer tire.

That was in the shop on a national account. The same size of tire, but a drive tire in a Michelin is around 2k... Keep in mind these are super singles.

I needed a steer once. Stopped at the TA, south of Nashville. Had the family with me. Decided to get a cheap Dunlop for the time being.$385. back then. We’re eating breakfast, here comes the Tech. Bad news Sir, we don’t have any Dunlop’s in stock. I’m thinking,OK, here we go. Tells Me, they’re policy is to upgrade for the same price. No Goodyear’s, or Firestone’s, we have to give you a Bridgestone. Sounds good to me. Later, I bought another to match.
