what’s a road call, or worse a rotator cost to set the truck back on its feet in the median? Its sheckles as far as I’m concerned

Good for you, high roller. Don't spend them all in one place.

I agree, I usually get over 200k on Michelin steer tires and a little over 400k on x line energy Drives. One thing I won’t skimp on is tires and maintenance

    I bought a new 2003 Peterbilt .
I used Bridgestone or Michelin tires, depending on which one I could get through the company for a discount.
I got 221,000 miles out a pair Michelin street tires.
Now, the part you WON'T believe:
I never had that truck aligned.
I drove that truck 1.1 million miles.
Once, when getting front tires changed, the tire guy asked me how many miles were on the tires. I told him. He said, don't align it, it won't get any better.
It continued to get good tire life, so I left it alone.
And , I didn't run over curbs, etc.

My first 6 months, i made 67k, i bought a truck, had to get an inframe after 2 months of buying it...15k. Insurance was like 1800 a month, truck payment, i was negative 7k after working OTR for 6 months...blew around 4 tires...def issues, derates, egr coolers, everything was #### .the downtime and the repairs.

but im still here 4 years later....this o/o stuff is not for the easily discouraged. My friend told me it takes bravery to be a owner op. I said theres a thin line between brave and stupid...
