I've never had the inclination to try that. It does seem like it would be hell on synchronizers.

I deliver entirely too many automatic transmissions to Ford dealers to want one of those pieces of junk in any car of mine. In the wintertime they really start breaking.

Is that on the dash? That Chrysler was in the middle where you'd normally find the gear shift. The gear read out was on the instrument panel below the speedo & tach. Really interesting. I took the car as a truck drivers Cadillac, I really liked it, but you definitely would be challenged to drag race with knob lol.

There were 2 books out when I was a senior in high school. "Real men Don't Eat Quiche" and "The Manly Handbook". They disagreed about this issue. RDEQ felt that men were comfortable in their skin and drove big Chryslers with v8s and autos, and TMH felt that autos were invented for women, therefore real men drove standard transmissions.

I go like TMH, I don't like autos in cars, I wouldn't like to drive one in a truck! Especially 2 sticks connected to 2 transmissions.

Well, when I bought my F350, this is '97 brand new, it was on sale, huge discount, had all the boxes and a rack, Harbor Utility bed, it's a 4x4, I looked in the window, and it had an auto, and an air conditioner.
Those were the only two requirements, cause driving through rush hour everyday is no place for a clutch.
I was driving it home before I realized that it even had a radio.
