Just too bad that a guy is stuck buying a Ram HD and Cummins to get a manual transmission truck. I had an older half ton Dodge with the crappy 46RE Chrysler transmission. Went through a torque converter and 2 sets of shift solenoids and I only put 100k on it (had 144k when I bought it). I was pretty soured on autos but this 4L60E in my GM runs like a top with nearly 300k on it with only a filter/fluid change every 80k or so. Rarely misses a beat and still shifts great. Had the pan off last month for transmission service and hardly anything on the magnet.

My brother went through two of those with his Dodge, just a bad tranny.

I've driven autos my whole life. Wanted to drive a manual since I wasn't even old enough to drive. Hopefully my next car will be a manual. Getting used to not floating is going to be challenging I bet.
