    I agree....Stuff happens

The Bigger anf better question is WHY doesn't the DOT,Police etc Understand Mistakes are Humane??

If a Cop sees Diesel Fuel Spillling out at highway speeds, Why does it turn out to be a Spectacular Situation including Fines and Penalties??

    it Was a Mistake..

The RIGHT way to Handle it is to pull the truck over..And simply tell the Driver He forgot to Put his Cap on...And Go about his day..

Since when is Making a 'mistake' have to corruptly cost a person earnings? No wonder why we Have Angry Civilians going around Shooting Police...

If that is the worst thing that happens to you this week, it will have been a good week.
I have done that several times. Just an honest mistake. Use it as a lesson to double-check everything / everytime.

Did it rain a lot while you were driving with the cap off? Just wondering what kind of problems could have happened if water had gotten in the fuel tank... :biggrin_2554:
Hey, I bet you will be more attentive next time you fuel, right? :biggrin_25519:

Thanks for all the responses guys, much appreciated. It didn't really rain but I think there was a few very brief smatterings of rain as I recall. Should I put in some kind of fuel additive or something? If any water got in it was an extremely small amount but I just want to be sure

And yeah you can bet I won't do this again lol

I've done that.Just make sure all the fuel around the tank is cleaned off so it doesn't give dot a reason to do a level 1.

Yeah will do, thanks. Fortunately I didn't really see too much spill over if any so hopefully I didn't lose to much
