    I can only verify what was offered to me. My friend the O/O told me about his deal and weather he is exagerating, or telling the truth, is refusing to lease his truck to swift, so either way he is not happy with it.
    can you verify that you are charged for the qualcomm, ez pass, and you have to pay a payroll fee? if those are true i have no reason to believe he is not being honest. also, different accounts are different. like i said the target down the road has swift in there and those drivers are getting 11 cents per miles less to do the same job 5 miles away.
    i know that none of the owner operators are planning to stay once swift takes over in 2 weeks.

    Each DC does have some different pay. Yes, we are charged for the QUALCOMM, always have been. Yes, we pay for EZ pass, about $5/week, but then we do not pay the tolls. No, there is no payroll fee that I am aware of. I have some friends that work here and are L/O on dedicated with Wal Mart, and all very happy. Out of usually 2500-2800 miles per week, half of them are empty coming back to the store and are paid at the loaded mile rate. Again also, different DC, different pay, and the same between Target and Wal-Mart

    paying at least 1000 a year to rent a qualcomm and 260 a year to use an ezpass. unreal. but you confirmed half of what he told me, so i have no reason to doubt him on his surchage and mileage. either way, his deal has nothing to do with you or me so why would we really care.

    Please keep in mind, the EZ Pass, well, makes it a lot easier when coming to paying tolls. Do not have to take cash out of my pocket and wait to get my money back later, and I run many a toll road. How much cash would I need in my pocket to run, lets say IN, OH and NY toll road. My EZ Pass, covers these, and Swift is paying them. As far as Qualcomm, you will find that many companies will charge a O/O for this

    Maybe do a search and see why they give these awards. As far as your questions, the large DC that we run dedicated, we have our own office staff with planners and dispatch, our own shop and maintenance people, and as far as fuel, we fuel right along their trucks that run out of there.

    Before it snowballs I just want to be clear this wasn't supposed to be a bash swift thread or a hostile thread.in fact my first post I let it be known that I thought swift was paying exceptionally well compared to other companies especially considering the ease of this account.
