i gave my current employer my 2 weeks notice today and they let me go

Because it saves you a "Quit without notice" entry on your DAC when your next employer pulls it up.

Look, all you guys keep wanting to join the top outfits. Those people do not hire just whatever comes in off the streets. Their drivers are noted for professionalism; which includes appearance and behavior. They hire people who fit that profile. Part of that is your past record of behavior..... your rep, your cred.

If you want to dress like a homeless person, act and look like a gangsta, stick your bod full of holes or any other current "fashion statement" then you are going exactly noplace in this industry. You will always belong to the bottom feeders.

 

I could not agree more with Kittyfoot, In 16 years Everytime I left a company they got notice, except one time, it showed on my DAC for seven years.
