I see it you're both at fault
The other diver for hitting you. Not much excuse for that. And you for being in his spot. You are also too lazy too look where your trailer rear is. If you were in one of the spots beside you " only about 18 inches" and got hit, do you not share the blame? Why should he / she stick thier hood 2 feet or more into lane because you won't park correctly?
I got backed into at the truck stop - is it my fault?

After a while doing this job you start to park defensively at truck stops. If I could I NEVER parked on an end. <<best way to get a fender or bumper ripped off. Try to not back into any parking place facing a curb. <<by the next morning you can count on at least 1 truck parked along that curb. Some drivers also pull in a parking spot so that if a driver hits them they don't hit the tractor. It's a shame and a general disgrace drivers have to do this, but they do. Hopefully you took many photo's if something is said later. You might get called into safety, if you do give them the photo's and copies of any paperwork you might have.

Couple questions Blair:
1. Did you log a pretrip that morning?
2. Did you take a full 30 minute break?
3.Did you cut any time off fueling?
The reason I ask is Elogs should have prevented this accident, maybe you were fatigued from a 29 minute break? And like @IluvCATS said, fall down and start flopping on the ground. Then tell him about your attorneys Dewey, Cheatam and Howe. -
4mer trucker Thanks this.
