well none of it matters. the op lost their much needed job. and now their dac is going to show a service failure and an h.o.s failure to comply. and based on the story told by the op. the fleet manager probably got some browny points for covering the companies butt. and to clear up the post trip and pre trip rule. it is 15 minutes for a pretrip and a post trip. and you have to show doing both. I was told that by a d.o.t officer one time when i got spot checked. that guy had been on the job for 20 years in 2005. thank the lord earth that i don't drive a truck any more. something funny i seen on a church sign where i am at in deleware. '' the earth is lord'' I guess the church is having trouble with faith now that the world isn't ending any time soon.

Any requirement to log on-duty time and note that an inspection was performed is a COMPANY policy, not a federal regulation.
That should be a sticky.

I have no clue what anyone is talking about here
STexan Thanks this. -
If I am on paper logs my company requires at least 15 mins for a pre trip. As for the post trip, you can log less than that but you must sign and send the macro for your DVIR at the end of the day ( I know its double the work but its their policy) and they will try to house you up for not doing that. Lol!
