Plus I believe in a right to work state, you can be fired at anytime with absolutely no warning or even a reason.

Either way she filed a claim, so it's out of her hands. It will be investigated and proven one way or another. Hopefully we'll get a follow up to see how things shake out.

Are you and everyone else on this site making similar comments dense????? You can not be fired for refusing to run a load if that load would have you violate Federal HOS Rules. It's that simple, right to work state or not.

If they're smart they'll have it recorded as driver refused dispatch, and won't mention the hos. They'll just Skype the dispatch and say the driver refused it, then show how the driver acted against policy, so they posted ways. This would be the route I'd take, truth or not.

I would like to say that the OP could have worked their logs a different way for those few minutes. As for the comment on a right to work state, I was just stating what someone else had posted. As far as being fired for no reason and what not

I totally agree. I think (could be wrong) that right to work state, means you don't have to belong to a union. I think it's AT WILL that applies. At a at will company you can quit for no reason and the company can let you go for no reason. However it sounds like the driver got canned for refusing to violate DOT rules. Good luck getting any redress in a timely manner.

That would be awesome. Wait everything I do is recorded electronically, i'm salaried so the hours are less important than the fact that the work gets done.
