I got my CDL Class A Permit today...

    What next?

    My father is trying to help me get on with an oil company, and they are supposed to train me...but what if that doesn't work out for some reason?

    I have the Class A CDL permit with the Tanker endorsement.. would I have a better shot at getting on with certain companies if I have this or is it basically useless unless I know somebody?

    Congrats on your permit. My suggestion would be to get all endorsements on your license, including hazmat and doubles/triples. You'll probably find over your career that they will all come in handy.
