I got my license almost a year ago and was able to get an on the job training position but I quit after a month because the trainer was terrible. Since then I worked in other industries but I didn’t want to pursue another trucking job until I was sure I would be able to pass a thc drug test. I’ve been clean for awhile now and would like to get into the industry but I’ve heard that having a license for over a year and not having held a trucking job will make it difficult for me to get hired?
Is this true and am I screwed or will I be able to get hired on with a mega?
I got my Class A in October of last year and didn’t pursue a trucking job until now. Am I screwed?

The market for new driver's is very poor right now. That said, I got my CDL-A and did not get a driving job for 2 1/2 years and I didn't even have to do a refresher. This was about 10 years ago with Maverick Transportation. Again, while I did it then you may find it harder now as companies are much more picky with hiring now than they were then. Best wishes to you!
