I got my first year in, i dont know whats next.

    If you have other options I'd put 1099 near the bottom of your list. If you can't get any company driver work there are ALWAYS 1099s willing to let you pay for their trucks and dispatch you. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING ALL TAXES. IRS doesn't play around.

    Or buy a lease from someone like arrow or lone mountain and lease on.

    I'd do that in a heartbeat if I wanted to live on the road again with a logging device for a nanny.

    I have no desire to do either.

    I appreciate it. I got a few messages on some mom and pop companies i never heard of away from chicago. Seems like these smaller companies are more relaxed. One I had spoke to laughed and said we don't do any of that sleep study stuff on our drivers here but warned me that freight is slow for them right now. Another one i talked with said they are not taking on anyone new at the moment, then told to look at milk tanker companies over the border in Wisconsin or try Foodliner as long as its non hazmat tanker i guess.
