I got a offer for 87 cents yes 87 cents a mile from a large company that I will not name. 9 years safe driving and all.. But seriously what are they trying to pull? I make a litle more than half that now. drop and hook. i think they are trying to take advantage of a dumb steering wheel holder aka me. help a trucker out, what is the scam. over and out

I agree that it's probably a lease. Did you ask how many miles per week they would guarantee?

if it's not a lease program it's a scam i would just laugh and walk away, heartland recruiter offered me 55 cpm and 3000 miles per week and i laugh and hang up then he started sending me post card in the mail saying would you like to drive for us

Ask for a contract that guarantees that you will get that per mile and guarantee 3500 a week and if they fail they owe you $3045. Then watch as they hang up and never contact you again. :) I would ask for a 10 year contract with a Cancellation clause that they must pay me 10 million if they fail to give me the miles. LOL
