ALL AMERICAN FREIGHT in Denver NC is operated by a broker. A sorry ### broker that recently got his 5th DUI which violates his probation so since he’s been ( I assume) paying for lawyers I have gotten taken advantage of. BTW he served this past weekend in jail but didn’t tell drivers, so we sat without loads back home. I just said f...orget him and came on in on my own dime. Another driver sat for 2 days out of fuel bc he hasn’t kept credit up and card got denied..I’ve had to put fuel. In out of my pocket, pay to have keys made for a Peterbilt that I don’t drive, paid for service truck to bring jump box out and get trucks to turn over so we could make money (we thought). Drove personal vehicle w a friend I bribed to go pick up a truck a driver that quit left abandoned, and stored trucks on my property. I know I’m partially to blame here. I trusted him when he told me he would pay me back. That’s been a month or longer. I ran a load to Ohio last week and I see that it’s wishful thinking that I will get paid for that. He hasn’t returned a text or phone call in 3 days..& yes I’m calling about my money so I’m getting blown off. I have a ‘12 cascadia at my house of his so he won’t get it until im repaid.
Is it normal to make a driver sit at a truck stop for a week bc broker gave you the wrong delivery appt ?? Of course I’m led to believe I will be paid for that too. Just venting and needing a Midol!! Starting somewhere else next week. Any ideas on how I get repaid aside from keeping the truck & trailer hidden in the barn?? Hey drivers I’m steadyJ from NC I look forward to solving worldly issues w u all
I got screwed and didn’t even get a dinner

File against his bond if he is a broker.
TST65 Thanks this. -
Whoa! You can’t hold the man’s property. That’s considered grand theft. I don’t care what he owes you. What you do is, take the truck to the Sheriffs office or police station and put it in escrow. They hold the rig until his debt is satisfied. It’s unlawful for you to arbitrarily do it yourself. As for getting your pay, you’ll need to go to small claims court to recover that.

Trucking in Tennessee, snowlauncher, Jazz1 and 2 others Thank this. -
He's not holding the property, he's simply waiting for a dispatch
spyder7723, Woodchuck88, TST65 and 5 others Thank this. -
yeah, don't come on a public forum telling people "I'm holding his truck at my house....."
Texas_hwy_287, TST65 and Broke Down 69 Thank this. -
Start at the police department and then file a claim. Right now, if he so desires, he can call the police on you and that won't be pretty.
You're justified in being angry. Definitely did more than you needed to for that company. Just don't put your freedom at risk for it.TST65 Thanks this. -
I would be more inclined to "forget where I parked the truck" until compensated for my wages.

So now I’m torn between going to a large carrier or a smaller joint that’s 1099 & I won’t have someone up my tailpipe constantly. Except the lie detector that’s mandated now.
I appreciate all the replies and outlooks on this situation gentlemen. -
I love the legal advise.
. Lock that truck up. You can’t steal what he gives you keys too! This is a civil matter for a civil court.
@TROOPER to TRUCKER right or wrong? -
