I'd guess an 8H "skidder".

 

I saw a dirt contractor hauling a very large excavator (7 axles) had 4 binders hooked track to deck and one chain around the boom.

 

I don't think that it is a skidder. It has a winch but no arch. By the time you hook an 8' chocker to anything it would be able to get it off the ground.

 

You saw my old boss?

 

Don't need to get it off the ground with a set of tracks.

 

I would like to see the trailer make it to the destination and after it was unloaded, see if the trailer quits smiling.

 

Hard to believe J.B Hunt has low pro steps hauling dozers now.....wowwwww

 

I'd be amazed if the tires held up. They have about a 2ft contact patch right now. I bet the wear pattern on the tread will look amazing when done.
