    Well that sucks.

Was probably hoping you'd just pay it, an not bother to look at anything other then court date/fine. Most people would just write a check an not pay attention to the details. You did.

Far as a lawyer...I advise you look locally where the ticket is. Local lawyers will know the deal with the court an it's ways.

You guys know truckers can't read or write. You spend your down time sleeping an drawing on rocks to tell your road adventures....(That's a joke..for those that need that pointed out. )

Don't take getting screwed lying down...err...anyhow...good luck!

Sirscrapntruckalot - Court can be entertaining...especially if your not the one on trial.

It takes looong time for justice to get served....but it does (most of the time) get served.
To me these variable speed limit signs should be illegal. We are not in Germany here. I am not a lawyer, but myAdvice to OP is to request the state to provide exact time speed limit has changed on that part of the road and go from there with your arguments. You should be able to beat this ticket without a lawyer in my opinion.

It's in the hands of the attorney.
They seem relatively certain that they can get it dismissed. Of course, there is no guarantee.

My safety director thinks WA may never even file the inspection with the FMCSA bc it is coded wrong.
If they do, we'll DataQ it on grounds that it's completely coded wrong AND they charges were (hopefully) dismissed.

I sent the attorney an array of info, from mileposts, times, temps, weather conditions, my start and stop time with average speed of 52mph over those 32 miles.
Sent copy of my spotless 36 year MVR.
    And a plea for help.

Having run through there a Lot...I Can say the "conditions" will change from 36° and rainy to 32° snowing hard & Chains Required within 30 minutes.I have also had to "chain up" & by the time I start up the Pass,Im getting passed by drivers with no chains on( apparently it changed back to " chains advised" ,by the time it took me to chain and getting rolling.Between North Bend and the real Snoqualmie Pass there is a "gap" of several miles. More than likely they"changed" the digital sign, 5 minutes after you went by (From 55 max to 45 max).Cop probably well aware it was 45mph, but,not thinking about the 5 trucks that "got changed on", stuck in the gap Or this may have been the plan all along. Who knows.May be able to beat it,with inconvenience of time/ money, however.

The only major problem with DataQ and getting it removed is that the facts do not matter one bit, what the court says does not matter. It gets kicked back to the officer that originally wrote the inspection report and he and only he can agree to dismiss the inspection report. A complete and utter lack of due process with the cop being the accuser, judge, and jury all in one.

If you had a camera that recorded that digital sign showing 55 etc and then got pulled over for over 45....

    It'll be what it is.
I can't make them remove it.
I can only plead my case.
If it happens to stick, I just have to keep it clean til it drops off.

    It shouldn't be that hard.
It's my very first points ever on my PSP, and I never get pulled over and cited for being bad.

That's why it stings so badly now.
    Principle.
It definitely would be hard to change jobs with that on there, but I have a great job, and I'm not going anywhere.

It's just the principle of it all.
We shall see how it pans out.

    Update.
The attorney failed to get ANYTHING done on the cite.
Not even reduced to Improper Equipment.
Infraction committed and convicted by the judge.. 50/45.

No big deal on the tix.. my first in a Coons Age (20+ yrs), and first EVER convicted on.

I guess I just donated $325 to the attorney for nothing.. and then paid $108 to the court.

Still no word on the PSP score.
    Should know soon. I'm expecting a 10x3.
