If you're really old, like me, how about adding dolly wheels to the list?:biggrin_2556:

Had a newbie and his trainer once ask me if I thought they would fit under low bridge. Well, actually, this happened about a month ago.

    Me: How tall are ?

    Trainer: Um, I'm not sure

Me: Well, doesn't it say on the left front corner of your trailer, look in your mirror

Newbie( he was driving and the trainer was holding the mic): Oh, yeah, it says 13 foot 6 inches

Me: And what's the clearance on the bridge ahead of you?

    Trainer: Um, 11-9

    Me: Personally, I don't think you'll fit

Trainer: Well, this is our first time here, and we saw you were from this area so we thought maybe you would know if the sign was correct or not.

Me: Driver, look at the leading edge of that overpass, see all the missing concrete and various colors of paint? Does it look misleading to you?

I'll let the company be nameless

Maybe they were from New York...when I was with a trainer many many moons ago, we made it under a bridge marked 12'4" with a 13'6" truck. I personally wouldn't have tried it...but he was the one driving. He slowed down and watched the clearance and we fit with not much room to spare. Not sure why they would mark the bridges lower than they are...and I kinda wonder how many people hit bridges in other areas because they are used to the false signs and just assume they'll have more room than indicated.:biggrin_2556:

Not me man. I get nervous when the height goes below 13' 9". A 13' 7" sign makes me pucker up.

I have a single reservoir. Had the split, but it was harder to find the right turn fluid (I make more rights than lefts, so it runs out sooner)
Once I put left turn fluid in the right and my 4 ways would only work 2 ways.
Oh, and just in case you get one of the older trucks...the trailer blinker fluid reservoir is under the tandems.

I'm glad I drive a newer truck. I love the air powered blinkers!
Just before I came off the road several of us were joking around on the CB and with that brake fluid joke and I popped in with I didn't have to worry about that as I had air powered blinkers and as fate would have it another voice came on with what kind of truck was I driving all serious sounding and I told him a brand new FL Cascadia (whatever!) and he just went crazy! He believed me and was so wanting to get one with air powered accessories!

I was actually about to fall out of my seat laughing so hard when I passed the same company that gets ribbed all the time and figured out he was dead serious when he told me I made it and to come back over and he wanted to see how the blinkers worked!

I still woncer if I really want to get well enough to come back out to the road?

The accessories used to be all air-powered...

    ...windows...
    ...windshield wipers...
    ...power steering...
    ...starter...
    ...etc...
