Goodmorning, i too had my fair shair of bridges, there's one the lower south side of Iowa, i came upon it , behind was state troper
, i didnt see at first,flip the 4 ways on, got out had a look see , up got more or less then two inchs , good too go ,drop the trl bags and went thru super slow, made thru the bridge just fine with 4 inches ta spare , pop the air bags on,after i went thru and i went thru it super slow, as i got thru the other side , he pops his cheerys on , o s********t, nowa gonna give me a ticket
got out with my paper work, nope dont want that, he just wanted too shake my hand and told me that was mighty fine driving , boy was i sweating that one

That said, corrosives are allowed on all of the PA turnpike "non-bulk"... People yell at ya on the CB for it though, they dont read the sign just see the pictures of the placards....

It's all fun to joke about the questions on this board that are asked but it's another thing on what you do when asked the dumb questions. I believe it's our job to enlighten the individual because we are all taught that no question is a dumb question. I'm sorry to use jeep's quote as an example but first maybe he misunderstood the question. What if he wasn't sure where the emergency shut off valves were on the truck and wanted to know if there was a fire? Second, if I was the safety supervisor I'd ask what did you tell that driver. I've been asked many dumb questions over the years and I laugh too but at least I'll show them where to look for the answers. It's a larger safety issue when an experienced driver walks away without giving any guildance.
