Two years of accident/Incident free driving should get you over the hump.

DOT Preventable. Plus the phone policy. Even with a short story most companies aren’t going to touch you.

    Where is your location?
Might get a non-cdl job in the meantime or even a cdl job in some locations, but not OTR.

This is why you're having a hard time finding work. When a tow or injury is involved, it's difficult to impossible to find a trucking job with a reputable company. If the tow wasn't involved, you may have had a better chance. It does not help that we are in this ridiculously tight job market now. If it were me, I'd just send applications to any, and every company that will hire at your experience level. Answer the questions as it is stated. Don't give any unnecessary information. Example: "Have you been in an accident in the last 3 years?" All you say is yes. If they ask you for more details, DO NOT volunteer anything about picking up your phone.

201, TripleSix, tscottme and 3 others Thank this.

Yard jockey and smaller local places; many are not 1099, start close to home and cover the area slowly.

They don't usually do DAC and are not that picky when doing background checks.

    tscottme and Numb Thank this.
