It’s the other car getting towed that makes it a DOT preventable. If you had received a citation, that would have made it much worse for you than it is.
I had a preventable accident and fired.

OP, it’s the phone in conjunction with the accident that required a tow. Basically you got in an accident from distracted driving and that distracted driving was from using a phone. And you’re new. I know anyone can make mistakes out here, you might otherwise be a good driver. The issue is insurance. These companies literally cannot pick you up, even if they wanted, their insurance won’t allow it. You’ve got two choices as I see it. Apply for some really shady Chicago type outfits, or do something else. Maybe you could on with a local outfit driving box truck deliveries, food service etc.

he has a third option and that is try getting on a local moving company that will let him drive part of the time and do labor tasks the other half of the time a.k.a. driver helper.

So Update. Called Werner to clarify the reasoning of termination. They said it was just violation of company policy. It doesn’t say anything about an accident on my sac report. So how could my accident get to the other companies?
