I then recieved a $93.75 ticket for falsification of logbook for not logging off duty not driving for the time that I worked on my truck. I told him that it was BS and asked how he expected me to fix the truck and still have hours left to run that week. He just smiled and said "Sign here".![]()

No I had plenty of hours left for this week so he let me slide on that but did put me OOS for 3 trailer brakes ???out of adjustment???? I adjusted them and only one was questionable but oh well. Walked back in he says "all done?" Yes sir...."have a safe trip!" and that was that. Messed me up on getting the new trailer today since they'll be closed by the time I het there.

Wow-I can't believe he actually wrote you a ticket for that-I mean, he's technically right, but still. You should have told him you were working on something in the sleeper, and he should write the ticket for not logging on line 2

Where in IA were you? Waterloo is notorious for tickets.

What a nitpicker! I've wondered, technically, where you draw the line at what you have to log? On the computer in the office looking for loads or printing invoices, doing books? Washing the truck? Driving to someone's place in a pickup to discuss future hauling? Reading Truck paper? Since I've got our business name on some shirts, do I have to log the time when I'm running them through the laundry?
Sorry to hear about your ticket, 5mouths, I'll try to remember when I'm in that situation: "Silence is golden." -
