    fun morning so far lol

made the wise choice to wait an hour before leaving to miss the bulk of the traffic into south Hackensack.

17 empire blvd. the building with the red X on it. I'm backed in where the yellow stripe is. tight as it looks. cars on all sides of all buildings. as usual, the phone pics don't offer much perspective but there's not quite as much room as it looks like. another container in the door to my right.

no room to turn around back here so come in down the little entrance way, go right and get somewhat straight, then back down 90 thru the gate 90 into the dock. getting in the gate wasn't so hard but it took about 20 minutes of wiggling to get it in the door straight and flush on the dock. can't use the little alleyway directly in front there's spikes sticking out of the ground where the fence used to be.

just another day at the office lol our LTL guys would look at it and roll their eyes they do this #### all the time but we don't so much on truckload. glad I brought the 48 a 53 would have been tough

sitting waiting on them to floor load rugs. then point the nose south and get towards the house

I HATE the places you go... We do go to tight places... and I HATE that too.. but that seems a very common thing in your job... + the awful traffic congested roads you are always on... + the awful hrs you have to find truck parking spots at those awful congested truck stops... and always rushing... :biggrin_2552: That makes you a real warrior!! :biggrin_25514: Bless your heart... :biggrin_25519:

Hey... did you say you were pulling a 48? In that picture, it looks like a 53...

It looks like a 53 because that's a 40' container beside me lol

Tight places are a pretty common occurrence for us but this was on of the tighter one. The all time winner is one in New Orleans. If I ever have to go back there in this lifetime it'll be too soon lol

The guy asked when I came in 'you can put it there yes? I think maybe you try? '

Told him I'd get it in there. I look at all of these with the approach that there isn't anywhere that I can't put this thing given time to work it out. Until I can't put it there.

That's what I had to back through and around to get back here

I am at company today... and it seems will stay here till Monday... They found a leakage in the radiator... :biggrin_2554:
It was 2 days ago when I had to put one gallon of Antifreeze in there cause it was at the minimum cold line in the morning... But I have not noticed any wetness on the ground... :biggrin_25513: Not even last morning... I did squat and looked at the ground before I left... and it was all dry...
But they found a line of wetness under the box and will replace the radiator... and they are pretty busy, working on 2 trailers and two trucks and they have only 2 mechanics... this is a very small company... And it seems there will be no time to install my power inverter.. :biggrin_25513: as I anticipated... That's why I have not bought it yet...
But I did talk, had a nice talk with Ms. Safety boss and she said she will have a talk with Mr. director of operation to make sure they are on the same page... Well... I hope so. But I'll not be calling Mr. director when I need a correction on my freaking elog... :biggrin_25512:
All this crap would not be necessary if we, DRIVERS were allowed to make corrections on our lines 1, 2 and 4...
Anyway, Ms. Safety boss told me they can put me in a hotel room for the weekend... Not sure I want that... if the truck can stay outside, I prefer to stay in it... Only inconvenience is that will have no restroom... So... I am thinking... hate to carry my cooler (on the dolly) and all the cooking parafernalia to the hotel... + this that and the other.... :biggrin_2552: OHHHH... the wonders of trucking...

And Ms. dispatcher here told me that I might get another truck here to deliver the load in SLC and keep on moving.... which I don't want... :biggrin_25512: Or wait till "my" truck is fixed... I want to wait till "my" truck is fixed...

Now will watch a video or 2 Ms. Safety boss gave me about regeneration... This is because I have tried to do reg on this truck a few different ways and it never worked... :biggrin_25512: Truck manual says one thing, mechanic says another... my last company said another... Could be the truck itself was having problems back then...
Will watch the videos now... :biggrin_2558:

Wait a minute Mr. FM... are you saying you had to BACK that truck & trailer all the way from outside the gate? :biggrin_2554: With ALL those vehicles and trailer at that dock there?? Talking about the building in front of the gate... :biggrin_2554: I just can't see how... :biggrin_25513: Wouldn't it be "easier" to do a blind side? I am still a curious beginner here... compared to all of you, REAL professional long time EXPERIENCED drivers... :biggrin_25519:

Yep lol back it down thru the cars, 90 thru the gate, 90 into the hole. Blindside was impossible not enough room in front and the 4 doors to the right had containers in them.

As with any place like this we do, park in the street first, walk back there and assess, figure it out before you pull in there.

Otherwise you may drive into a situation you can't get out of lol
