Price is Right is on. I still can't believe my mother in law was on that show.

My uncle was on it too. Didn't make it out of contestants row.

 

Maggie won double showcase. Of all the stuff she won, all she kept was some jewelry and the 2014 Scion Xb. Couldn't pay the taxes on the other prizes. Getting tags on the car in Texas was a chore. They wanted to charge her sales tax in Texas on top of the California sales tax she paid to get possession of the car in Los Angeles. She didn't have a normal sales paperwork sheet for the car and the El Paso County Tax assessor didn't consider the paperwork she had to be adequate proof that sales tax on the car had been paid. She ran a paper tag for three months before she got it worked out.

They preempted Price is Right to show Pope Francis at the World Trade Center Memorial. I'm Catholic but I don't give a #### what the Pope says or is doing, I want to watch Price is Right!

 

I've heard it's actually a pain in the ### to win prizes on that show (or any gameshow). It's always better to win straight up cash.

They have a Price is Right game that tours the casinos... or at least did....that is a scaled down version. Some good prizes but nothing like a car or anything like that. My buddy won washer/dryer combo that was valued at like $1500. They offered him a $750 cash out instead which he gladly took.

 

It is. Honestly Maggie really just cared about the car. Her 2004 Hyundai was falling apart and she really needed a new car. She said the rest wasn't worth the hassle.
