Picked up yesterday from Elk Grove, IL and currently on a off ramp on I-76 in Colorado doing a 30 minute break. Deliver this around noon then gonna deadhead over 1,000 miles to Carson, CA to pick up a load going to San Antonio, TX.
@FatDaddy, drove by Brooklyn, IA but decided not to knock on your door.....in the middle of the night.
We have our 5th wheel set at the 48 inch mark which Freightliner/Western Star recommended. Haven't had to slide it since but then again we haul light stuff. The Cascadia 5th wheel needs to be rocked a few times if it hasn't been moved in forever. Our ProStar on the other hand required taking it to the shop and having them use a crowbar.
@Voyager1968, sorry to hear that your first week started out the way it did. I'm sure it'll get better and more importantly your health improves.
