I have always thought I was smarter then everyone else
the fact that the other guys I fished with for 35 years sold their boats and retired. I held on declared bankruptcy and now will work until i die. has never allowed those truths to deter me

Another average day in the office in schneiderland.

Folks at the distribution center haven't the foggiest clue how to load a trailer per jcp's requirements...

(No pallet greater than 5 ft high. No items overhanging off pallet. All items must be on a pallet, and shrink wrapped.)

Pretty standard. Just as easy. Doesn't stop folks from just tossing crap onto the trailer any way they so please.

Oh well. Parked at my backhaul woth fingers crossed that they'll be done in an hour or less. From their past track record though...ill be here a good 3-5 hours waiting on this live load.

3 of us here now. Nobody has the numbers lol

The new guy is bent out of shape. Can't understand why we aren't fuming too. SOP for these folks. A lot of times they'll head us in a direction not knowing all the info yet.

This is a regular raw materials run with several loads a day though. They know we need that number they were just crossing their fingers we didn't get here before the loads dropped into the system.

They think we don't know that lol well the new guy doesn't hehehe he's learning.

That's why I came on in here anyway. I'm first in line once we get the numbers.

You sure it's not more like "I have 8 kids and lots of alimony" so I have to work til I die?

Shoot, I've only got 6 and retirement is more of a fantasy than a possibility

At least at my age, if I fall, I'll only break a hip. (Unlike some others who will most likely shatter a hip, lol!) Then I'll get some time off!

    Isn't that the truth lol

Between the 2 of us the wife and I have 7.

6 grandkids and 3 still at home that haven't even started producing grandkids yet lol

And can't forget the dummies that eat 50lbs of food every 3 weeks or so and the chicken and rice dog soup that goes with it and the grilled turkey necks every weekend along with never ending boxes of treats.

    Retirement? Hahahahaha doubtful

Another fun one with not much room to work with. The dock is offset just a touch to the right so once the doors clear going in you have to squeeze it to the right then get straight.

After wasting 2:20 this morning and endless behind the scenes calls it turns out today's loads out of here were booked under other than usual channels. We all had the right numbers when we got here. The guy behind the window was the one out of the loop.

You just gotta love this job some days lol

Already planned to Tampa for tomorrow.

Whew. Man I got a piercing headache yesterday that wouldn't quit. Delivered in New Orleans then just passed out.

Feel much better now. At my pickup in Zachary, LA and taking in to Carlisle PA. Relaxing 2 day drive. Works for me

We ordered domino's while in Mazatlan once back when they were still using the old peso (2-3000 to the dollar). My cousins and I got a kick out of seeing $19,000 on the receipt.
