Completing an 8 just 60 miles from the house at the TA in Commerce, to set off on the first of 3 drops. It will be just fine if I escape without the police getting involved. This, meaning Trader Joes in Suwanee. Worst. Grocery. DC. Ever. And that's coming from someone who has miles of patience. Only problem is at the end of all that patience there is a steep cliff with turkey vultures circling overhead. This has to be the only place on the planet that refuses to use the BOL to count/receive product. It's the dumb leading the stupid right there in one warehouse. I think this must be the place every distribution center person, from the floor sweeper to the executive suite, goes when they can't get hired anywhere else.

Yes. This year has been lean, especially this summer. It is picking up a bit lately, however. Last year I would have refused this load to Trader Joes, short of a $500 upcharge just to go deal with that place.

Came thru the windy today. Looked like the white Volvo platoon was getting reinforcements. Must have been 200 of them at the dealership off of 90

Stopped at the Golden Acorn Casino in Live Oak Springs, CA, exit 61 on I8. Calculated this was about the farthest I could log an 11 hour drive from El Paso. Didn't help that the CHP diesel bears were giving roadside inspections right here and I was maxed out on my 11, lol. Sneaked by and parked. Nice big lot. Puts me an hour and 15 minutes from my delivery. Never stopped here before. Pretty much the last truckstop before you get to San Diego. Gonna see how it's going inside. :)

chopper103in, Rocks, sshewins and 2 others Thank this.
