Haven't been to a Wegman's store, but the two DCs I've been visiting weekly recently are pleasant to deal with. My only gripe being no nearby staging/parking. If they carry Turkey Hill iced tea they can't be all bad. In the SE we get that at Kroger stores.

Speaking of Kroger, a couple of months ago they started receiving meat at the new super DC they opened on the old Fort Gillem property west of I-675 on Anvil Block Rd. From a vendor memo I found, I guess other stuff is or already has been phased over. A vast improvement over the old places in East Point and near Bouldercrest.

It's a bit of ride to get to a Wegman's up here in town, so we just do Redner's for a full shopping, and Boyer's if we just need a few items on the quick.

Boyer's, however, irritates the hell out of me. Half the selection (smaller stores than others) but twice the hassle. The aisles are narrow and usually packed with extra displays which make them even narrower. Makes it hard to navigate the store, especially if it's crowded.

Rochester Wegman's has lumpers to pay. Despite that, I agree they do a fast unload with zero hassle. The maker of the product I'm hauling in there does have accounts at a lot of the other delivery locations we visit, so maybe they just aren't set up there. Pottsville has never charged a lumper fee, but I never looked closely to see if the receiving folks had employee badges on.

The ones they toast for you? I've had one of those once and they're not too bad.

In Chicago, we have no major grocery store. Safe Way exited a couple years ago. Have Jewel(Super Value), Marianos, Whole Foods & the rest are ethnic grocery stores. Don't have a preference.

Nah, it's one of their packaged cold sandwiches.

used to be Dominicks....... there is Woodmans but the closest one to your home is on Randall north of 72 in Algonquin, we always shopped there eventhough it was about a 45 min drive from Sycamore.
I know Caputos has opened several stores but never made it to one

Never been to Woodmams. Caputos is opening up new locations. Think I saw one in Indian Head Park the other day.

Everyone is going crazy for Marianos. It's okay in my opinion. Seems popular with the trendy people cause of the fresh bread, deli, cheese, etc. I still prefer Jewel & the ethnic grocery stores.

I don't know what you're talking about. They won. Go Cubs !;)

Kroger, whole foods and fresh market. I would add trader joes, but I've only been once. All 3 usually have good stuff, but kroger's deli has gone downhill since I've worked there.

Both of those places are nightmares at night... It's one of the last major chains before you hit the truck stop hole as you get closer to Atlanta.

Couldn't tell you the exit numbers, but there is a new Loves and a...wanna say it's a quik trip, but it could be a racetrack a little further south.

Just take two of these and don't call us in the morning.

Yep. I know the feeling. I'm the same way with stein mart. Jcpenney is normally in an easy to navigate lot even with traffic and cars. Stein mart...they like to put those in nicely dolled up strip malls. Lots of trees, cars, buildings and more to scrape and bump. Couple places I've been to where if you come in the wrong entrance and aren't careful, it's a guarantee that you'll damage something.
