A truck stop doesn't owe you anything. You need them more than they need you. They don't care you're out of hours because you're not a mega fleet who agreed to purchase $2 billion worth of fuel this quarter

Give Bino a break. When we asked if we could get a discount he told us his uncle would change us double. :p

In the event I see some improvement or a place I feel is nice, clean and kept up... I'll happily chip in. I know it isn't easy, or cheap, to run a TS.

However, about every place I have ever come across that does charge for parking, is run down, dirty, nobody gives a flying fox...

As far as I'm concerned, I've come across some nice places... Could name a few off the top of my head if I wanted to. They've kept everything looking decent enough to where if I was asked to pay 5$ to park, or come inside and spend a little, id gladly do it.

...except some of us are. We still get the same spots you do. That being said...when I start seeing reserved spots for mega fleeters, I will begin to avoid parking, or purchasing anything there unless my company says I'm required to fuel there.

Besides... They'd lose half their parking lot so swifties could park.

I know truck stops don't owe me a thing... And I get that. But I don't like it when I see money that I'm spending not going being invested right so that it attracts more people of the same caliber.

I've spent considerable time at the Greater 55. Honestly considering it's location, it's not that bad of a stop. He's doing some improvements on the inside, little by little.

There are corporate TA's and Petros in worst shape.

I have never been hustled at the Greater 55. OTOH I saw two pimps fight at the Gary, IN TA.

Doesn't matter if they lose half their parking lot to Swifties their profit is in fuel deals - not selling hotdogs. Overnight parking is an expense. Sure, Coffee sales help with profits, but it doesn't keep the ship afloat. If parking made money you'd see every truckstop lay asphalt for 3,000 parking spaces instead of 60

    -sigh-

It was a joke... For a swifty to hit any parking space easily it'd need to be the size of a barn.
