Eventful morning so far. Besides the pouring rain....ran up on R&L right after he lost his rear trailer on 40. It was hanging nose first over the guardrail looking like it was contemplating whether it wanted to take the trip down the embankment or not. Looked like it just came loose from the dolly.

Had a bird strike. Huge bird couldn't tell maybe an owl or an eagle only saw the flash of its underside as it came across the hood trying to miss me as I ducked lol for all the good that would have done. Hit above my head with a solid thud bang on the fiberglass. Don't see any cracks or damage but won't be able to really tell till its dry.

Took a slow clock wasting stroll up 49 from Dickson to Clarksville. Nice scenery and nice color in the trees but a little slow for my taste and my clock

Sitting waiting on them to finish unloading. Getting in no hurry from the looks of it. Planned out of here to ecru then ok city for a Thursday 0800 customer unload. They're stretching that 70 clock to a bare thread this week to get back.

 

Sign inbound says 40E closed again thru crashville 2000 Friday till 0600 Monday.

Plan accordingly if you're gonna be there.

 

Going to repower a load home in Indianapolis. Trailer is parked at Pro Trans across the street from Werner's terminal.

 

I will be in OKC at some point Thursday late am or early afternoon. Heck. We may be on 40 tomorrow at some point together tomorrow before I drop down towards Dallas.

 

If my wife was with me, she'd be doing nothing......but complaining.

Customer is within sight of the 40/44 split. Not sure if I'm gonna try to park at the customer Wednesday night or not. Room to hide around back so I might.

Looks like we miss each other by a matter of an hour or so again lol
