There's some level of risk associated with trucking, granted.... and when your time is come... it's come... wherever you are... But that doesn't justify parking just anywhere... There's a number of reasons we need safe and "legal" places to park... And I know... about your "incident" at that awful truck stop in TX... right? Yes.. some truck stops are as dangerous as a "sinister" place in a bad neighborhood... And that's why I say that we need MORE places to park... MORE... not less... cause there are not enough...

 

Hey.. Abilene..? Sunday? I drove there last Sunday... on I-20... I missed that though...
Parked at the receiver on Sunday evening, was unloaded on Monday morning and then was reloaded on Monday afternoon in Abilene too...
