I say not their fault because some businesses are just too small... they have absolutely no place for any truck to park for 10 hrs...
I believe there are many places that could be used for truck parking only... rest areas that have been closed for over a year... we could use the space, some trash cans and portable toilets.. of course, those would need to be maintained... but it wouldn't be any fancy rest area for the public in general... Also weigh stations that don't allow truck parking but should... and other empty areas that are not being used... specially near industrial areas... I know... it would take a huge investment... planning... and the community would have to agree... to bringing trucks into the area... these noisy, dirty trucks and filthy truck drivers that only trash the place and destroy the environment...

 

I've said multiple times YES...there is enough truck parking.

And no....the northeast is not a lost cause. ...as I've also stated. The northeast was there hundreds of years before they created 53 ft trailers. You may not always find the ideal parking spot that will be a mile away from your destination but you will find a place to park.

And obviously this isn't just an issue in the USA. You yourself have stated that Brazilian truck drivers park wherever they can find room. Same thing happens in Mexico.

Yeah.. the whole trailer was crossing all the lanes on the road going north... while police and tow truck folks were trying to move the truck... and all the traffic was halted...

 

I can pronounce that easier so ok.
