I remember the OKC girls were respectful back in the day that they didn't knock on doors. They were thick as thieves in the shadows but they worked off the radio most of the time or would approach you if you were sitting in the drivers seat.

Hey... you "know" me by now... right? I don't mind noise, smell... I can close my window... or just live with it... Easy in and out...? I definitely don't want to struggle like many of you do and don't want to have the truck damaged... and don't want to keep going from one congested truck stop to another, to another at night... or circumnavigating the place till I find a spot... or being forced to move truck by some security somewhere and get a log violation... and I definitely don't want to pay for any parking...
Truck parking IMO is one of the biggest problems in truck driving... besides the freakin regulations...
And I hear there will be lots of more drivers entering this industry in the near future... more trucks out here.... and less parking places... less rest areas, less free parking at truck stops.... Walmarts forbidding parking in their stores...
But hey... I see I am minority here... so be it...
Anyway... I am just responding your posting but can't continue this conversation... it's getting late and I gotta go to bed... -

Pretrip checks out my trailer just fine… Any of you all just have that funny feeling that a trailer is going to give you trouble during the day at some point?
Well. I've got one now.
Saw where my back haul is today. I am both displeased and pleased at the same time. On one hand, they take an exceptionally long time when it's only supposed to be a drop and hook. On the other, i'm not going to complain about a paid for nap.
My day will very likely end up at the tiny truck stop right across the street from Levi Strauss in Canton Mississippi. I learned the last time I parked there to not eat any of the food. … Last go-round it gave me nightmares.peterbilt_2005, TruckDuo and HeWhoMustNotBeNamed Thank this. -
