I've seen some dollies where I had to clamp a pair of vice grips on the handle to get it free of the trailer.

It's all dangerous. I understand your POV being a company driver, but I'll take a 3800lb load at $2.00+ a mile anyday, rain, snow or shine!

@Obscured.By.Clouds, best advice I have for you is to put on pink headphones and roll baby ! :biggrin_255:

Check out Pride truck stop. Might have luck there. Otherwise, best advice is to seek out @G.Anthony, @Voyager1968, @joseph1135, @Al. Roper, @'olhand and the rest of the NorthEast crew.

    The better ones do.

I can tell you exactly how much it costs per mile to run mine and operate it and treat it like it was mine to include making sure it runs at a profit.

That's the difference I guess between running for a mega and running for a better company where my profit sharing bonus is directly tied to how much of a profit my truck turns......or doesn't.

Well if your going to be running that far north.......

Snow suit? or at least Ski pants and a good cold weather jacket.
    Parka?
    Cold weather gloves?
    Battery powered socks?
    Shoe Cleats?

Heck man just go to a military surplus/real outdoor place and get properly stocked for I90.......

I like to try to keep my idle time low and mpg high. If I can fix something on a truck, I'll do it.

I've had to do my fair share of rewiring jobs. The way I look at it, I can either spend 20-30 of my time fixing something or 3-4hrs of my time waiting for a TA shop to do it.
