Oh trust me...I know how well "give and take" works. I also know all about "The Voice" and "NCIS" and other shows I'm not willing to advertise on this forum thanks to my beautiful, brunette, bombshell of a wife!

 

Who brought up the taco's ? .... My heartache is your fault ! ..... Went to the Hardee's/ Red Burrito to get some taco's and had the radio on .... they played the little known Mojo Nixon tune 'Elvis is Everywhere' .... .... which was cool. Hadn't heard it in a few .... followed by a real Presley tune I'd never heard before .... ok ... then they went and did it to me. Lowered the boom on me. My favorite Slow Dance Romantical Song. ...... Yep. ..... Screamin' Jay Hawkins his own bad self ..... " I Put a Spell On You " ..... sniff, sniff .... anybody seen @Rocks ? ...... ....

Let's start with MA is a "not in my backyard" state, meaning truck stops are for other states. There's a Pilot on I93x11 in Bow NH, and the TA in Greenland NH at I95x3. The TA means you have to backtrack south a couple of miles on NH33 - you'll pass a Sunoco that has parking in back on the way. There's some other real small places around as well. Both of these are reasonably close to Boston.

Those things have a 1/4" aluminum core in 'em. Its bolt cutters or y'all gonna have ta gnaw 'em off!

I think that some folks here are just full of it.... They write stuff to impress but they know darn well that is far from real... I think they want to disagree just for the "fun" of it...
Once in a while one may be "lucky" to find parking at wee hrs in a normally congested truck stop... It's not impossible.. But generally...
A friend of mine the other day couldn't find parking at that tiny stinky Pilot in Charlotte, NC at 14:00... He was going south on I-85... drove about 40 miles to be able to find parking... at the rest area in SC... Thankfully the rest area was open and he had time on his elog...
To say that there's "plenty of truck parking"... and in the northeast... is totally absurd... ludicrous.. un-real...

Some folks who say that... are o/o, they don't have elog, their trucks are fast, they are on some dedicated account and the companies they are leased to have terminals all over the place... no wonder they can say that...
I read here all the time about truck stops being full early in the afternoon... Folks having to pay for parking for crying out loud... And they think there's plenty of truck parking...?? That's pure BS....

If states and government "don't have money" to build more rest areas and maintain them + the ones we have... what about having the private sector do it?

I heard the other day about some business that was interested in opening rest areas in GA and use them for commerce and advertisement... But GA wasn't interested... dumb, dumb, dumb... Oh yeah... maybe they would need to go thru tons of legislation to agree on that...
In the meantime... we lack more places to park while lots of closed rest areas are rotting out there...
