    It blew the tread right off. If I had the tools I could have cut the sidewalls off lol.

    Found a little tire shop in Monahans at exit 80. Put my spare on for $35. Not bad for the oil patch.

    Did more road tests yesterday. Wife has all the luck, the guys she road test....drive well and know how to back. I had one yesterday that told me he was an experienced driver but he had no clue how to downshift and couldn't back. Was going to fail him but when I talked to the orientation supervisor about this driver it turned out he was a student. :biggrin_25526:


    Got my CDL renewed today. Went to the CDL DMV in West Chicago instead of the one in Elk Grove. The DMV people at the one in Elk Grove are nuts ! Always in a bad mood. I can expect a shouting match almost every time I go there. West Chicago was completely different. Happy state employees. It was weird. :biggrin_2556: Don't have to go do that again till 2019. :evil3:


    Tonight the wife and I are going to have dinner at 'Burts Place'. He's the "Soup Nazi" of Chicago deep dish pizza. I think I've done everything right so I don't piss him off. Made our reservation a week ago, gave our order and called yesterday to confirm our reservation. Anthony Bourdain ate at this place. Fingers crossed he doesn't tell me "No Pizza for You !" LOL




    For sure. Blue Island isn't far from me.

    7.50 per lb Angus T bones I found marked down. People don't like to spring for these thick cuts so you can often find them 1/2 price or better.

    sitting in Boron Ca making my wheels pretty
    so I was suppose to be off next Thurs-Saturday
    dispatcher says if you dont mind when you get back Monday you can take off
    until the following Monday
    he didnt have to ask twice and the way the trips fall dont even miss a paycheck
